In the heart of Veysonnaz in Valais/Switzerland, this top floor apartment boasts breathtaking views of the Alps. Interior architect Aurélie Chèvre has transformed it into an oasis of serenity, a place that pays tribute to the surrounding mountains. The living room is dressed in brushed light oak. Thanks to a custom-made wall shelf designed to cover the double-height ceiling, the interior architect not only optimises the storage space, but also makes the most of the light and even integrates a sound system.
While the natural wood adds a warm touch to the room, the subtle depth differences of the niches give dynamism to the whole space. The precise layout of the panels and the direction of the wood grain have been carefully thought out. The natural light reflects harmoniously, constantly evolving with the day and the seasons.
Preserving the light provided by the large windows, the wall shelf delicately frames the landscape. To emphasise the view, the curtains disappear, cleverly stored in this piece of furniture. So you can enjoy the panorama as if it were an artwork. From the mix of materials and textures to the multiple sources of soft light, everything in this space calls for calm and tranquillity, inviting to contemplate and appreciate the rhythm of nature!
Celebrating a return to the essential, this project brilliantly combines functional storage with a modern, welcoming aesthetic.
